Noscopo is operated by Rokskari Corporation ("Noscopo," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Noscopo, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details: full name, phone number, email address, and password.
  • Emergency contact details: the name and phone number of the person you designate to be alerted if you don't check back in.
  • Check-in information: location labels and timestamps you provide when starting and confirming a check-in.
  • Identity verification data: where cédula/ID verification is used, limited verification results from our identity-verification provider.

How we use your phone number

We use the phone number you provide to:

  • Send a one-time passcode to verify your number when you sign up or log in.
  • Send automated check-in reminder texts when your safety timer is close to expiring.
  • Send a safety alert to your designated emergency contact if you don't check back in after reminders.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of your information, excluding text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, may be shared with service providers (such as our messaging and identity-verification vendors) solely to operate Noscopo.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on your activity — typically one message for sign-up/login verification, plus reminder and alert messages only when you start a check-in timer and either confirm it or miss it. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any Noscopo text at any time to opt out of further messages, or HELP for help. You can also contact us at hello@rokskari.net. Opting out of SMS/WhatsApp messages will disable check-in reminders and emergency alerts, which are core to how Noscopo keeps you safe.

How we store and protect your information

Your account data is stored with our database and infrastructure provider using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections and access controls. Passwords are stored using one-way cryptographic hashing and are never stored in plain text.

Data retention

We retain your account and check-in information for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as needed for safety, legal, or support purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@rokskari.net.

Third-party services

We use third-party providers to deliver core functionality, including SMS/WhatsApp messaging delivery and identity verification. These providers process the minimum information necessary to perform their function on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing purposes.

Children's privacy

Noscopo is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
